Anyone For Anya Vintage Vibe Challenge Card

Hi Everyone, This is my card I made for a friend using Vintage colors and my scraps I  had left over...
Using Vintage Colors reminds me of my grandparents...the colors that they had in their home and reminder of love caring and compassion.

The Vintage theme is one of my favs...and the sentiment A moment of peace, is to communicate soft words of comfort to my friend..

I used a brown satin ribbon from the dollar tree, recollections crochet trim From Micheals. I used a studio G white card base and a  Sentiment Sticker with White glittered butterfly  from the Dollar tree . I did also use scraps for the inside of the card to give it a finished touch...

So  I hope you like the card and leave me some sweet feedback.  I have entered this card in to the http://anyoneforanya.blogspot.com/

 VINTAGE VIBE Challenge..

Super big hugs

The Friendly Crafters on Facebook Tuesday Blog Event ~ Crafty Storage Under $100 Part 1

Hi Everyone its Tuesday That means its The Tuesday Blog event with the Friendly Crafters on Facebook.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/137024863141800/

I wanted to do something a little different for this weeks Blog. I get alot of questions as to how to store my crafts, and alot of feed back as to how expensive storage is and that Crafers would rather use that money on Crafty GOODNESS...

One thing I dislike is the fact you start buying something and then they discontinue it Nothing that annoys me more that having mismatched or half a set.. So as my craft supplies have grown thru RAKs and picking up a few dollar items here and there I had crafts EVERYwhere lol...and my hubby John was home he'd definately say Baby Crafts Everywhere is a NO NO...

As you probably know from my Youtube channel nurselarelle John says the garage is the Man Cave and we've got my old craft room as a Guest Bedroom So I have my set up in the Dinning area... Its just me, My Son Jacob has gotten himself an apartment so Its me me and me till John comes back from Deployment in Afghanistan....

So here is just a run down of what I got

 Pink Fabric Drawers from Target $6.00 each X 8         = $48.00
Old Childrens Bookcase from Post Thrift store              =  $14.00
a Make shift Stickles Storage Rack (maybe shoe rack)  =  $14.00
and for the future 4 magazine storage containers $1.50ea= $ 6.00

Grand Total = $78.00 Priceless for the Pink Crafter lol

An Amazing Stickles storage solution for $14.00

Just My Color love the baby pink MY FAVORITE
This was just a used Childs Bookcase for $14.00 and I can stick Magazine holders in between later

I think well worth the investment of neat and organized and tidy...

Remember you can start out with a plan of what your trying to organize then pic  up things here and there is doesnt have to HURT to Pay for Crafty Storage.!

Hopes this helps will a crafty storage solution under $100.00 Come back Next week for Part 2.

Tell me your favorite crafty storage solution below! I love comments so I Hope you leave one Super big Hugs

The Friendly Crafters on FB Tuesday Blog Event ~ New Technique for me

Hi Everyone, Its Tuesday YAY, for those of us in the USA, we just had Columbus day so alot of places were closed , families were home resting and savoring the warm weather...

I was at home trying to get my MOJO back yes I hadnt been feeling my self so I am back. I got a few questions on the chocolate card I made.. I saw this technique on one of the projects featured in my Favorite Craft Magazine, Magnolia INK ... Love love love that magazine... So here is how I achieved the look. I havent mastered the blue but I am working on it.. first you stamp out your image, I use Georgia Pacific White Card stock 110lb from Walmart, because that is what I can Afford and is closest to me lol... Next I use my Tuxedo Black Momento Ink. I use this because it doesnt stain my copics yes COPIC SKETCH MARKERS. They are my fav... I took the brown and cream families and did alot of shading and blending...

for the blue I did the same thing I am still working on the hair..coloring...

here is the link to the blog event :

https://www.facebook.com/events/221763594652130/

https://www.facebook.com/groups/137024863141800/

so here we go...

Hope you like

Start out with a stamped image, and I am trying this with shade of blue Copic Sketch Markers and 0 the colorless blender too...

outline with the darkest color I used E 29 Burnt Umber

Then I used my next darkest color E18 copper

outlining with Copic Sketch Marker E39

Overlapping and trying to blend togethter wit E11

Using E00 to blend a little more from the dark to the light color

Going over  with E11

Next blending with  E13, the skin is E00 ,the cheeks are E11 and E13 No pinks used at all I know right AMAZING , Hair is E29, E39, E00 E37 and E11

More blending with the lighter shades

then I lined again with the dark color see how Ive blended it into the paper

you can blend it to meet your taste

the finished image I added some dark and light to the envelopes, and this was using all Brown, and cream copic sketch markers...

Hope you like my step by step to show you how I colored and blended to give the dark chocolate blend technique..

I am still learning but I thought for those who want to try it i thought Id show how simple it was...

Thanks for taking a peak

and hope you leave me a sweet comment..

TGF FFF For the Boys Challenge

Hi Everyone, Youd think with Me having 5 Boys and a husband Id be able to just whip out some boy cards, in actuality I struggle with Masculine cards.. ALOT lol.. I usually just pink frills and pearls... so boy cards and tags I struggle with .. Every now and then I get a bright light and an Amazing Ideas pops out.. and every now and then the idea is so so lol...

So I made this Boy Tag using a RETIRED stamp Soldier Ian, just to say thank you to My Boy Ronald who is deployed and serving in Afghanistan as well as my husband John. GVT Challenge Card

I loved the Holidays, with Snowflakes and gingerbread with friends and family here with Winter Cheer,  just around the corner.

This Challenge made me stop and think the colors and things I love during Holiday time. I think I love whites and blues and my husband home lol this last year I did purple and gold because he is from Louisianna and his team in LSU and that is what there colors are...

So Since I am from Colorado originally I am used to White trees not green lol... So I went with a white and blue color Pallet with Snowflakes for this challenge...

I used Holiday Anya She is just super cute the Spellbinder and some blue Studio G  scrapbook paper and a studio g embossed 5x5 card base.. I copic colored and fussy cut my image out.. Hope you Like I think she is super cute for this CAS card..
